Day one: The Adventure begins (July 1st.)

We left our house at 4:30 a.m. and met Chuck & Anna at their place at 5:30 a.m. We were able to get on the road by 5:45 just as the sun was coming up. We had a beautiful cool crisp fall-like day.

We were all in our jackets the entire day. Not much sightseeing today, trying to make some time for later in the trip. Today has been much riding and much eating. We had our dinner and the children (Chuck& Anna) are all tucked in bed for the night!(9 p.m.)

We traveled 549 miles and checked into the hotel at 5:30 p.m. Enjoy the pictures.
As you can see Chuck was as happy as could be when at McDonalds he found food at last.  Once we arrived we put Chuck and Anna up at the Department of Corrections while we went across the street to the Best Western.
